The house was once owned by the Matson Family, most recently by the Ward Family. On the lower left hand corner of that property right at the corner of Park & 87 sat the building which is now next to the former High School- moved there in the teens and known as "the annex". The building was a store when it sat at the Matson home- Matson is the person that moved (or had it moved). The North Bloomfield Town Hall- it once had four chimneys, two on each side. You can see the patchwork in the slate roof where the south ones were removed. Behind, (east) of the Town Hall is the original Township Garage. In this building which is still there was the horse drawn road grader. It's a post & beam building. Almost unseen is the Church Parsonage and at the top is the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

This was the Wakefield Farm. Mr. Wakefield was an accountant or insurance man and had an in home office. They also had some sort of affiliation with Ladanyi Implement from Greene, as I remember seeing an old Ladanyi sign in their shop. After the Wakefields passed, an amish family purchased the home putting on a huge east addition making the house unrecognizable. A new barn was also built in the back. About 2019/2020 another amish family purchased the property tearing down the house and building a new one.

Clarence & Rose Gideon. Clarence operated a garage as seen in the back, doing small engine and automotive repair. The garage would burn down in the 1980s and the current block building was put up. On the left side can be seen the remnants of the sidewalk that went to the train station, a cement walking bridge over the creek.

Paul Bazilius Jr was the last to live in this house. It was built as a Feed Store, (the railroad tracks sat next door). It would later become a "hotel" overnight boarding home. When owned by the Cooley Family, there was a wrap around porch on the south and east sides. It sat vacant for about 40 years when it changed owners and was razed. The barn had been gone since (at least) the 1970s. The barn can be seen in photographs sitting on the opposite side of the road in the area where the milk plant sat. It would have been moved over to the north side of route 87 1880s/1900 time frame. The small building on the right was moved by Joe Sprague and served as a scale house for his lime/coal business. The scale house once sat on the south side of route 87 and is now located at the Antique Tractor Club grounds in Vienna, Ohio
