My wife became the owner of this farm-place when her father passed away in1974. We have rented the land since then and kept the farmhouse as a place to stay when visiting family & friends.
Hi Bob,
Are all of he barns and outbuildings still on the property today? Do you know how long the property has been in your wife family?
Alexis, No, all of the buildings and outbuilding are not there any more. Over the year we have disposed of them due to age and deterioration. The only buildings on that farm now are the house, a stone building adjacent to the house, and a steel shed 60' X 42' which we had built to replace the barn that was near the house. The buildings shown in 56-JSHE-20 are all disposed of. This property actually consists of 3 properties: two 40 acre plots plus two 10 acre plots. The original 40 acres where the house is located was purchased by my wife's great grandfather in the 1800s. Her grandmother whose maiden name was Matilda Hartman inherited it from him and she married a man named Albert Moths. Albert & Matilda purchased the other plots to make it a 100 acre farm. So the property has been in Gloria's family since the 1800's.
