This home was built by John J. Rhodes and Mary Frances Rhodes in the early 1950s on part of the farm John J. and his brother Marvin Rhodes inherited from their father Nathaniel Rhodes.

All of the trees in the front yard and those bordering the property at the left and right edges of the photo have since been removed.
