Clyde Davenport

This old house belonged to Hester Trent, and her brother Bubba Jackson. As a child, I would chop wood and carry it inside for Hester and Bubba. They would cook something to eat on the old wood cookstove. Best food I ever ate. Hester died in the late 90's, and Bubba around 1984-1985 while I was away in the Army. The family from Newport News sold the place and the house and out buildings we're demolished. The old well still stands today. Some of the best cold water I ever drank came from that well. Oh the sweet memories.
