Mary Berry (Walker) lived here on the Berry farm located at 24475 Matthews Rd., Hopeton, VA. The chicken house in the back was at one time used to raise beagles for hunting by my grandfather that died in 1970 (Weldon Atwood Berry (Fluhart) Sr.). The trailer was placed there after the main house was destroyed in a fire in the 60's. The shed behind the trailer was brought there from another dwelling that my parents (Weldon Atwood Berry Jr. and Ann Mae Berry (Ward) owned as their first home. The shed was actually the kitchen of that house which was their first house they lived in upon marriage.
