My dad was born in that house, as were his 2 sisters and 3 brothers. My parents moved into that house when Grandma and Grandpa bought the neighboring farm. The lean-to shed was added after my family moved out of the area in 1965. The barn was eventually torn down and the hand-hewn beams became part of "The Mineshaft" restaurant in Hartford, WI. The house is still part of Mayer Farms.
