Massey's truck stop
The pumps are gone. The little hotel on the end is gone. It is boarded up and starting to fall apart now. I miss this place!

What was your favorite thing about visiting Massey's Truck Stop while it was still open? Do you happen to remember when truck stop shut down or when it started being boarded up?

The food was amazing! The staff were friendly and sweet. It even had a motorcycle shop in the end of the store for several years. I always loved as a kid getting to go to Massie's. I am going to say that Massie's went out in the early 90s. Then a couple of other restaurants tried their hand at it but were not successful. My best "guestimate" on when it was boarded up was about the same time they tore the little white motel building down. That was around the 2010ish??? We bought the house 2 doors down from here in 2000. It was some time after that.
