35242 Hempstead Hwy (Old Hwy 290), Hockley. The Exxon station on the left was Garrett's Grocery when this photo was taken and until it remained Garrett's Grocery until it closed sometime after 2017. The Texaco station on the right - 35230 Hempstead Hwy - is now Jimbo's Roadhouse. The small building in the middle - Alpha's (Beauty shop? Bakery?) was gone by the early aughts.
