This was the old Hardin-Jefferson High School, originally built in 1963 as the Sour Lake High School. It was converted to the Henderson Middle School in 2008 when the new HJ High School was built where the trees are off to the right. In 2017, the old high school was flooded beyond repair during Hurricane Harvey and was fully demolished in July of this year to make way for the new middle school.
