This is the old Cler Place, just northwest of town, on FM 373, before the farm became a subdivision of Muenster. Charles (11/04/1878 - 10/09/1953) & Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Kleiss) Cler (11/24/1880 - 12/13/1962) bought this farm, the former Luttmer farm, in 1923, and in January of 1924 the family moved there. Children of Charles & Elizabeth were: 1. Gertrude Cler; 2. Alvin Cler (married Margaret Schoech); Ray Cler (who later owned and lived on this farm as an adult); Ed Cler (married Aileen Hoehn); Joseph (born & died December 1917); Werner Cler (married Armella Yosten, my dad's cousin); and Lucille Cler McClaflin Dye.
