My father, Larry Hower, built this house with my brothers, Wayne and David. Stones were hand-picked from the fields. Horses were kept in the shed out back. My Pappy, Charles Hower, kept the garden behind the house, selling produce, namely endive, to a grocer in the Allentown Farmers Market. Ernie Dietrich and his Grandson, Chris Thompson, leased the surrounding fields from my father and farmed hay and corn for many years.
