1696 Stony Battery Rd
The home and carriage house still stand, however the front porch was closed in and the roof over the back patio was taken down. The carriage house has not changed. Over the years, the garden/field was filled in with grass and all trees were removed. What looks like a chimney on the back of the house is no longer there. The series of outbuildings are no longer there as well, but there is a large garage at about where that big tree is by the white car. It’s not known if this is an original structure. The house was “flipped” in the late 90s or early 2000s so there is not much original fixtures inside other than what looks like an original basement door and the basement side door. Records show this house was built in 1840 but I have had a hard time finding records past around 1890.
