This was the Benetz Inn on PA Route 309 along the right (southbound) side approximately two miles north of the Trainers Corner intersection in Quakertown. Back in the 1970s and 1980s this restaurant was popular with senior citizens who would come for leisurely lunches and dinners. As best as I am aware the building is still there but it has had several other businesses since this photo was taken in 1981. In the 1990s it housed a country and western themed restaurant.

This is a view of the former Benetz Inn located at 1030 N West End Boulevard (Route 309), Quakertown, PA. This restaurant was opened around 1951 according to a Morning Call article. It was founded by Hubert and Maria Benetz and later owned by Frank and Bernadette Benetz. It closed around 1993. It was a very popular restaurant for many years and was designed in a European style, with a large bar.

After the closure it then became the home of New Orleans Family Restaurant started by Louis Massad, which also closed around 1996. It was then briefly Castle Restaurant owned by Tony Tziouras, designed as American fare. This closed around 1997 and the building sat empty for a time.

Next was Montana West, a country-western dance hall, opened around 2001 by John Giambrone and others. After some successful years, it too closed in 2010. Soon after Banderos Mexican Grille & Cantina opened and closed within weeks and later El Toro Loco at Montana West, a Mexican restaurant opened and later closed. It was then briefly a children's party venue and restaurant Wonderland Castle and was last occupied by Castle Diner & Family Restaurant. It is now set to be an antique market.
