Yes, this is the farm I grew up on, Rose Dale Farm on Rose Road, Schellsburg PA. The picture above was taken when I was twelve years of age (50 years ago at this writing). Our family (Dempsey L Rose) moved onto this farm in 1963 after Grandpap (J Norman Rose) retired. The school bus is most likely the first one dad drove, that's him on the roof of the garage to the right of the house (I can tell by the way he's standing with the pic blown up). The silo is replaced now with a new model, the old one eventually started tipping sideways. Out buildings around the barn are now missing but the barn structure is the same. Grandma Rose (Fannie) had an extensive garden across the road in front of the row of hedges, complete with a church set of several small wooden ones someone made for her and a larger one at the center. The flower garden is not there now. A large rock set directly in front of the smaller group of hedges that she referred to and had painted on it "Gethsemane." Really brings back great memories!
