This is the "Home on the Hill" that my parents built in 1957-58. They sold the farm and house in 1995. The entire house's framing and trusses are white oak that were harvested by my father and one of his friends that had been a logger. All the lumber was cut into boards in George Auman's sawmill just outside Winfield, OH on Route 516 out of Dover, OH. One solid house!
so good to see history kept alive! This was my parents home for years, I live just a
short mile from this homeplace. Thank you for still having the full beauty available
to our viewing! Judy Osburn Gummere, sister to Tom Osburn who tracked you down! Thank You!
I was wrong! Yes, it happens!
The "Home on the Hill" was built and finished 5 years prior to when I originally stated. We all helped in the building of the home. We moved into the home in 1953.
