42891 State Route 18. Corydon Bassett Farm/William and Sarah Marks Farm/Sarah Huntridge Farm.
Possibly built by Corydon Bassett as early as 1860. Bassett lived on the property with his wife, Caroline, and their three children. After his divorce from Caroline in 1868, Bassett continued to live on the farm until around 1880. Bassett's daughter Mary married Henry Hoyt, who owned the adjacent farm.

William Marks purchased the farm around 1890. William and Sarah married ~ 1889 either shortly before or after Sarah immigrated to the United States from England. Sarah was a young widow (her maiden name is unknown) with a 4 year old daughter named Sarah Huntridge. After William Marks died in 1908, Sarah Marks and Sarah Huntridge remained on the farm, with Sarah Marks managing the farm and Sarah Huntridge working as an elementary school teacher. Sarah Huntridge later became a well-known, respected, and loved teacher and principal at Wellington Junior High. Sarah Huntridge's full obituary is available on her FindaGrave.com memorial.
