The Edward Kurtz farm on the south side of Cemetery Rd east of Rt 58, Wellington. They purchased the farm from Emenual Harold who had purchased it from John and Wasel Kruk. In 1956 the 275 acre farm was planted in corn, oats, hay and wheat and their herd of Holstein cows were fed from the crops. You can see some of the many paths around the farm where the children rode their horses. Enough chickens were raised to provide eggs for the family.
Featured as Mystery Farm number 39 by the Wellington Enterprise on August 30, 1956. Search the Lorain County home page for "mystery" to see other farms.
