This was my Grandparents farm. My daddy was raised here. I was only 2-3 years old when my Grandpa passed away around 1967-68 and the farm was sold and Grandma had living rights in a mobile home on the property across the gravel road in front of the farm house. The new owner raised Clydesdale horses and restored buggies and coaches and built the building in front to store them in.
I tried to buy some land from him because I wanted that connection back into my family but he never would sale me any. But he always let me hunt and fish there anytime. He eventually sold the farm again years ago to someone else before Grandma passed.
Now the farm is row cropped again and another house has been built to the right of photo. I still would love to own part of the farm, but God told me years ago that none of my relatives took it with them and you won’t either, it’s just land. However, i do live near it and it is part of my heritage and no one can take that from me.
