This was part of our farm. The pack house (2 story structure)is the only structure standing now. The women in the garden is my mother with her dog. When I was 10-16 years old (before this picture), we had a ball field in the area between the road and the pond. All of the kids in the neighborhood and area would come over on Sundays and we would play baseball. A black teenager (last name Highsmith) drowned in the pond around 1967. The banks were mounds/hills of dirt piled up from digging the pond. After that we had a man come in and level them.
