Home place of John Calvin Phillip Martin and wife Frances Johnson. My (Phyllis Martin Campbell) grandfather,Wilson Creighton Martin was his brother. Enjoyed many, many meals in this home. Raised a large family of 10. Near intersection of Grey and Shearer Road, Mecklenburg Co., NC. The large barns were always inviting to us young ones. Daddy, Earl Washington Martin talked many times about the care he got around age 11, when his father died and John and Frances took him in. Wonderful memories.
