That's where I grew up!! The single wide on the left...5 kids, both parents and sometimes multiple relatives lived in that small home... our doors were always open. The entire parcel was owned by my grandparents who had a house where the single wide on the right was. I remember so much of my life back then and it was the very best years of my life. The old house had a wood cook stove, there was a nook behind the stairs where my grandmother kept her home made canned food. When that piece sold and the single wide on the right was added a family who cared for foster children moved in there. Expand that picture 5 miles in any direction and is kids ran that entire area and more... we were always outdoors, playing in the woods, making forts, fighting with each other and horsing around. We were poor, but we were so rich in family and friends and memories!

Hi Tammy! Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories of growing up in Broome County. It sounds like you had an amazing childhood filled with family, friends, and adventures! We'd love to hear more about those days. Do you recall any specific landmarks or local events in the area during the 1990s? Has anything changed in the neighborhood since then? We're fascinated by the histories captured in our aerial photos.
