My dad planted 100s of seedings with the help of his 3 urchins, the boyscouts and high school aged boys over the years from 1970-1979. The 15 acre property has a lot more mature trees in 2024. My folks owned the property from 1963-1986. The person who property from my parents took down the barn in the 1990s. The windmill is no longer there and neither are 2 of the smaller buildings on the left side of the photo. The house has had 2 additions since my parents sold it.
Hi Donna, thank you for sharing your wonderful memories of the property in Hunterdon County! It sounds like your dad, with the help of many, created quite a beautiful landscape. We'd love to learn more about the property during that time. What type of farming did your dad focus on? Were there any special events or traditions that took place on the property?
