My Great Grandparents Farm/homesite. I live right up the road from here.

Hi Kate,
Do you have any memories or stories from your great grandparents' farm? We'd love to hear more about what the area was like in 1987 and how it has changed since then. Also, did your family engage in any specific type of farming on the property? We're always curious to learn more about the history of these treasured locations.

Hello Alexis, I do have stories about them and the farm from my mother, who spent many summers with them. She remembers they had pigs who free roamed in the woods across the county road, a milk cow, chickens, mules and different colored cats. Im sure they also had beef cows. She talked about wanting to go in the fields to help her grandpa farm and how amazing of a cook her grandma was, this was in the 60s/70s when she was growing up. The single wide was moved there by my great uncle in the 80s (I think) since the farmhouse had no AC. The farmhouse is still there but is locked up and great grandmas flower gardens live on. I constantly tell my mom she needs to write a book to documents the old ways and memories she had with them.
