This was the originally location on the shunk family in the 1800's, at that time
There was an older two story home that Roland Turner lived, he had 8 children with Alice Steeby, those children were Donald Turner, which is my great grandpa, (Norma Wandfluh Turner) grandpa, and her father was Royal Turner, there was William Ray McKinley Turner, that was Francis and Nanetta Turner dad, Minnie Turner,Chester Turner, Mary Turner, Neal turner, and the baby was carol Turner, he built this house in place of old farm house that was previously there! Carol married Helen (gressley) Turner and they built this home in photo .. it is now owned by Roger Schuman and his wife.
I live on this Turner farm still.. it has been in our family since the 1800's, the original Turner who settled here from Winchester, Kentucky was John Turner, I guess he fell in love with Catherine Shunk, they had one child before he died, Roland Turner was only 9 months old. Catherine continued to live at family farm w her parenTs who were Isaac and Sara shunk, they are buried up in those bluffs behind this home. Francis Turner took a group from genealogical group to mark there burial in prob 2000, I was suppose to go with him that day! And I correct that Roland and Alice had 7 children .. not 8.
