Pine Grove Inn was located across from Lakeland water utilities on St.Croix Trail S. (95) and 12th St S

I lived out of the "valley" on Co. 21 by Afton Alps. The owners of the Pine Grove were my neighbors, and their head server Linda were also my neighbors. Many an afternoon after work, I'd stop for a couple cold ones. When the place burned to the ground, many of us missed forever the "Grove". One time, Rick had a young band practicing regular in the bar....they became well known in the day. They were "The Jets". I have fond memories of the valley...working as a machanic at the old Lakeland Auto, working for many years with Eisinger Sanitation, and then becoming the plow driver for the Lakeland/Beach area for Washington Co. Public Works. I moved to the border BWCA country after leaving the area....but the area was special to me.
