This Pieper Farm was homesteaded in 1886 by Fredricka and her son Barny Pieper, who married Minnie Bauldwin. The third generation was Milton Pieper who was married to Lorena Krick. The fourth generation was Bernhard Pieper who was married to Wanda Hellickson. The fifth generation is David Pieper who is married to Elizabeth (Betsy) Roberts. David & Elizabeth's Children are the sixth generation; Kelly (CJ) Gunderson, Benjamin, Ella, Tessa, and Christopher. David & Elizabeth have turned the 1910 Sears House into Betsy's Bed & Breakfast and built a beautiful home for their family on the adjacent back 40. The road has also changed; the sharp 30 mph corner has been changed to a more elevated 55 mph corner, making the driveway much longer and the property more prvate and secluded. There are now two Harvestores on the property. The hog house, chicken coop, and corn crib in the picture are gone, but the 1868 grainery remains as "The Granery Gift Shop". There are purebred Angus cattle on the property along with some Holstein Steers.
