This is Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lien Twp, Grant County. Founded by Norwegian Lutheran immigrants in 1870, it closed in 1998. The building is still used for occasional services or musical gatherings.

This church was started with the help of our great grandparents and our family continues to be involved with the property even though we all live in different time zones across the county.

According to our records and the look of the trees, This photo would have been taken in the spring of 1981.

I see by the flight path it follows 54 north/south. My grandfather's farm was on the west side directly off 54 and flight path went right by it. But I do not see a photo...are there others of the area? Were all buildings photographed or just selected ones? Thanks.

There are few changes which made it the perfect choice for use in a movie set. Redeemer's Song Ministries out of Fergus Falls filmed "He Leadeth Me" in 2012. It is used for weddings, and after foundation restoration it will be actively marketed for weddings and as a concert and event venue. The accoustics are amazing! My Norwegian great grandfather helped to build it, and hand crafted the alter and communion railing.
