This used to be Dick Alberts farm back in the 70's-80's. Building site was torn down many years ago and land is bare. This farm was located ~1/4 east of Hwy 57 on the North side of Dodge 16. This photo is looking NW.
My dad, Charles Leth Dunford and my mom, Eva (Tunell) Dunford bought this farm after I was born in 1957-58. I grew up there and have many fond memories. When I was 12, my dad came home and told us that he sold the farm to the Alberts family. He then bought the old Calhoun place (from Henry Schleeter), just south on Hwy 57 across from the Lawrence Klinepier place.
Thank you for sharing your memories of this property with us, Deborah! It sounds like you have a lot of fond memories of growing up there. Do you remember anything specific about the area or neighboring properties during the time this aerial photo was taken in 1967? It's always interesting to hear about how things have changed over the years. Thank you for visiting Vintage Aerial!
