Yes my grandparents bought this farm back in the year 1980. This photo was taken 6 years before I was born. I've now taken taken over the farm. Since this photo was taken we've done away with the old farm house and old garage along with the larger barn nearest to the field. We've built a new 3 car garage & shop and new house back in 2018

Hi Alex, it's fascinating to hear about your family's history with the farm and the changes you've made over the years! We'd love to learn more about your experience in Van Buren County, MI during that time. Since the photo was taken in 1993, do you have any favorite memories or stories from that period? Did your family specialize in any particular type of farming on the property?

Hi Alexis, my grandparents raised hogs, cattle, and rowcrops until the early 2000's. We sold off the last here of cattle around 2007 I believe. With me now being in my early 20's I've decided to take over the land that i grew up on to raise my family with intentions of keeping the Wright family farm in our name! I'd say my favorite memories were running the equipment with my grandpa when I was a kid! The smell of drying corn to later turn into feed for the cows was and still is the best smell in the world.
