I think this home was owned by Wendell Herring, but he offered to let the Vietnamese Duong family live there when they arrived as refugees in 1979. They were sponsored by the Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Duong worked at Misco/Howmet, and the family later moved to Whitehall. The Duongs rode my bus and I have so many great memories of them. :)
