This house and tall barn are not there anymore. This is the James Coon farm purchased around 1872. James ended up owning a 100 acre parcel of land here on Fitchburg Rd in Leslie. It was purchased by Bill Olds around the 1930s I believe. The house has been demolished. The two story barn has been demolished. The only buildings that remain are the large steel one near the road, the silo and the building to the far left.
What year was the house demolished?
Not sure. The house is still standing in the 1981 photo on this website (68-ZIN-11). Just curious if you're related to any of the people who lived on this farm. I would love to learn more information other than what I've uncovered. I currently own half of the property. This farm was split in two different parcels in either the 80s or 90s.
I am not. Part of my job here is interacting with users who leave comments. Our goal is to collect as much information about each photo as we can.
