In the early 1950's this was known as the Tobey Farm. There was a fire that burned the barn but the house was saved. The barn was rebuilt and a dairy farmer Herbert (Herbie) Hazlett operated for several years. I was able to help him out with the farm in the summer (I believe of 52). That year he decided to move himself and his herd to CT. He had roomed over on Hudson Avenue. I believe the farm house was vacant then. This pic if it was taken in 63 would be the knew barn. The Tobey's had a son a few years older than me. I believe his name was Guy. That is my memory of the history at that time.

Located Route 15 southbound from Guilford,Village.

My name is Bob Davis and I am writing on behalf of Susan Tobey Macomber. Guy Harrison Tobey was her father. She would like to know when the barn burned? She believed it was sometime in 1946. Also any photos of the farm would be greatly appreciated. I am also a Tobey relative.
