Holy Cross Church

The graveyard is more full than before and growing each week...

My uncles, my aunts, my granddaddies, my grandmother’s, my cousin’s, people I loved are buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. I got engaged at Holy Cross Church, my grandfather was born next door as was my father and all his siblings and some cousins. Had some awesome Easter Egg Hunts! And Old Dan threw me and about broke my back. Good memories. Also wonderful masses incorporated into family reunions with Uncle Frank taking out his false teeth and making faces. The best of times.

Weddings. Funerals. Sunday afternoon adoration of the cross. This little church is more than just stone and glass. i have generations of family resting in peace here. it's family. it's faith. it's who we are.
