We lived here from 1972-1991.We built the barn and later tore the old barn down. John R. Clark used some of the old beams in his log house he built. We enlarged the pond. We restored the house. When we tore the inside plaster out, we found a piece of siding someone had written on before nailing it in place. __________ Willyard 1876.I can't recall his first name. The place was known as, The Stamper Pirtle Place. He bought it from his sister, Jenny Neaphus. She used to rent rooms to the teachers at Howevalley School.
