This is the old Shelburn dairy farm. Dudley sold the farm and moved to LaRue County (I think). Its now a subdivision. The dairy barn faces the intersection of Preston Hwy and the shortcut over to the Brooks I-65 exit.
This was part of my families farm. The brick house in front was built and we moved into it in 1971 around October. The building behind is a "Morton" building, used for a garage and machine shop. The barn to the right of that was the dairies milk barn. To the left, just barely in the pic, is the house my grandfather, Dudley Shelburne, grandmother, Virgina (Gardner) Shelburne, and great aunt, Elizabeth Gardner, lived. The last house was the one my great-great grandparent, John Crawford Gardner and Lottie (Langsford) Gardner, lived in. I remember the farm was being huge, with lots of cows. The biggest garden, to feed the whole family. Thank you for the memories. Elizabeth Shelburne Banet
