I lived on this farm from 1941 until 1950 .During this period I was in elementary and high school. World War II happened, my brother was a soldier in Europe and was wounded twice. REA finally came to this farm in 1945. A disastrous fire claimed all of the original buildings except the house and round block barn in 1956. The crib and the machine shed were rebuilt the next year. The large building was added in the 1980s. The barn is no longer there, most of the out buildings are still there and in use. I am 85 years old and even though the building site has changed hands, I still think if this place as "home."

Betty,

Did you go to school in Cornell? Did you know anyone with the last name Dubois? My family lived near this place when you lived there.
