This was my grandparents place, Robert & Laura Laux. Robert passed away in 2015, Laura moved closer to the family. The place has since been sold and completed demolished to build new housing!
Thank you for sharing your memories of the Laux family property. It's always fascinating to hear stories from the past. What was it like growing up in Whitley County during that time? Do you have any other memories of the area? It's sad to hear that the property was demolished, but we're glad we can provide these Vintage Aerial photos as a way to remember the past.
I was lucky enough to be able to grow up there most of my childhood hood. My grandma watched me & all my cousins there daily. I remember building forts in the woods, golf cart rides, fishing at the neighbors, kickball in the big front yard and so much more. There was about 4 more building built throughout the years. There was actually a large Lawsuit regarding their hog farm due to neighborhood complaints of the smell, our family won and was award rights to continue βmakinβ baconβ. It was truly a special place for me & my entire family.
