"Downtown" Battle Ground

Shown in the image includes HW 225 (Tecumseh St) in the foreground of the railroad tough mostly hidden by the trees; Main Street going out of shot to the right; Railroad Street on the back side of the rails going diagonally from bottom left to top right; North Street (also part of the HW 225 path) going out of the image to the left center, and Winanas Street which goes out of frame at the top center of the photo.

The houses in the foreground are still in place. The two old business buildings along the left edge of the photo are still there. One is the Battle Ground Mini Mart, the other is related to the Hoosier Burn Camp (I think), and there is a Pizza King between the two. The old business building at an angle to the rails to the right, originally a Knights of Pythias building constructed in 1899, but is now the home of Muddog Pottery. The water tower is still in place. The gas station in the center is now "Beauty Walk of Battle Ground." The other gas station towards the left is the location of the fire department. The home(?) between the two is gone.
