This is on the eastern edge of Metz, looking north-northwest across Metz Road. The old Metz School is in the upper left corner. My father, Stanley Gilbert, graduated from there in 1957, two years before the high school shut down and four years before the final shutdown of the elementary. My grandparents, Donald and Lelah Eyster Gilbert, graduated from there in 1932.
