The fields shown in the photo are now part of the yard. There is a circular drive. Two huge expansions to the original garage.

This was originally a school house. The Jackson family owned it and it has been owned by Jim and Connie Reas since 1972.

This was my Grandpa and Grandma Jackson's home until 1971. The car in the photo is my Grandma's and is a 1962 Plymouth (Sandusky). I have many wonderful memories of visits to this home.

The Jacksons were my grandparents too. I grew-up near Cleveland, Ohio but made annual visits to this home from roughly 1948 through 1965. Grandma and Grandpa had a couple of acres of pick your own raspberries and strawberries across the street. We kids used to be paid 10 cents per quart if we picked berries for customers. Grandma made the best strawberry jam. She told me her secret was that she used the small ugly berries that no one else wanted to pick and they had the best flavor. The house is located on a sharp curve in the road and visibility was blocked by a large hill. Frequently, cars would fail to make the turn and crash into the yard. The hill was plowed down and is no longer there. That ended the accidents.
