This is the farm where I lived from birth to about age 14 or so. My dad John M was born (literally) here in 1929 and lived here with his parents S. Glen and Sylvia Johnson who had purchased the farm in 1921 if I recall. The farm consisted of 120 acres as well as an additional 40 acres across the road a short distance to the south. Sadly, many of the trees are gone from a farm that was once known as Shady Oaks. If you look closely you can read the word JOHNSON shingled into the roof of the main timber frame barn. The farm is located on the east side of So Co Rd 800 E about 1/4 mile north of E Co Rd 500 S.

Oops...the farm is of course about 1/4 mile south (not north) of E Co Rd 500 S.
