A little history here, this land was homesteaded by Alfred Biggerstaff in the mid 1800’s. Alfred was my G-G-G grandpa on the Biggerstaff side of the family. Grandma Cora was a Biggerstaff. At the time of this photo the place belonged to Lawrence Hannigan, a member of St Patrick’s and a WW I veteran. Under the siding of the old barn was a log home referred to as a dog trot. Uncle Mitch (Wilford Mitchell) used the pasture and barn for his dairy heifers. Was in the barn many times but as a kid took no interest in the old log home within. It’s long gone, Mike Frymire has a new home on the old barn site. Mike is a descendant of Alfred Biggerstaff!!
