This is the Marion Type 5860 shovel which was parked in Aug. of 1982. The machine belonged to Consol Coal and this was the Burning Star # 3 Mine.

Worked at consol Burning Star #2 while our number 3 mine was operating .

Spent many hours welding repairs on the 5860. Was groundman on for a while. As for the 181M loader I oiled on it for several years and was operator for 2 1/2 years. The Robbins drill, well I tried to stay away from it, except when I had to weld on it. I parked the 1150B dragline about 1/2 mile north of this location.
