The Odd Fellows building in Fishhook was dedicated on October 3rd 1916 after the first Odd Fellows building burned on February 10th 1916. The lower floor has always been used as a general store. The upper level of the building was sold at one time to an individual in Fishhook who sold it to a church group in the 1930s. The pastor of the church and his family lived there also. The lower level was bought by George Kiefer in the 1930s. Gerald and Mary Emma Kurfman bought the lower floor from George Kiefer and the upper floor from the church in the 1940s. Mary Emma ran the store while Gerald was in Germany during World War II. The Kurfmans sold it to Enoch Ham in 1978 and he left in 1982. Jerry Dougherty bought the store on July 13th 1983.
