A small gas station, and bulk depot, located where U.S. 67 crosses the Burlington Northern Railroad. Wish I could read the brand of gasoline sold at this location. ** Updating this post on 20 September 2020 ** I believe the brand is Fango. I found another picture of a station in Jacksonville and the signage is similar. ** The station is gone, replaced by a home. The railroad is abandoned. U.S. 67 is now a 4-lane road, with this section of road relegated to a frontage road. I believe weβre looking SE due to the location of the power lines.
Originally was a βGulfβ station, later Fanco.
David E Bettis was murdered in the office of this station on December 6, 1983
