View from SW, 1971. Home built by W. T. Dodsworth ~1898. The large shade maple trees on its south and west sides were planted at that time. Herefords are visible grazing in the north pasture, and some of the few remaining poplar trees planted around both pastures about 1950. Both visible outbuildings were used as corn granaries. Osage Orange hedge is visible on the east side of the road, and the cottonwood at far left was the last of six that grew in that frequently flooded part of the pasture.
