This house is the second house on this property. They started the big house in 1907 and finished it in 1908. I might be one year off. A few years after the new house was done they tore the old house down.
The carpenter was an old Swede. Him and his workers lived in tents while building the house. When the they got the house kind of enclosed the carpenters moved in to the house and finished building the house was enclosed around them they moved in and finished building the house.
My Great Grandfather had it built and raised 8 children here.
All the children moved out except one son and one daughter. The son passed away and so did her parents.
My Great Aunt lived here with her new husband. He became ill so she took care of him until he passed. She live here by herself for years.
It sat empty for about 10 years while she was in the nursing home.
She passed away in the 1980's and my Father bought it then.
I bought the house around 1985 from my parents.
My wife and I live here and raised 2 children here.
