The building on left is the Post Office that was formally a blacksmith shop and net to it was a funeral home and I can remember looking in the window and there was a horse drawn hearse inside. Now a vacant lot ,next to that was a store which is now part of Cabery bar and grill
I grew up near Cabery from 1940 to 1953. It was a good place to live and good people. We attended St. Joseph's Church and I have wonderful memories of the worship, people and activities. The town was supported by the farm families in the area and we enjoyed the memories of the free outdoor movies and the local stores. My father Henry Naas loved playing football on the local team and playing pool, I think he played at Barber Bill's shop.
