I lived to the right and up the hill from this Truck Stop...Skelly.

It was known as Bud’s Fuel Stop and the tall Skelly sign was erected in 1969.

I worked there and my boss was Bud O'Cock...your Dad???

Lonnie I remember Gary Schulz pushing us all around, yes! I remember Angie and working on your ranch painting fence, spelled properly Ocock.

Amazing. Sorry about the name Craig. OMG, that was forever ago. I've been back to visit very few times, but have many fond memories of working there. You still in that area?

Hampshire, Illinois, U.S. 20 just west (north) of the Northwest Tollway, I-90. Now a Citgo. Believe it or not, the β€˜hi-rise’ food sign still stands! Unfortunately, it’s a Citgo sign, and not the Skelly. This was always the highlight of our trips to the Illinois Railway Museum when we were kids....lunch or dinner at the Skelly Truck Stop! View looks NE.
