I grew up on the second farm to the west, and I live there now. The buildings on the right side of this photo are gone. The only buildings on the farmstead are the house and a new "Morton" building about in the middle of this picture
A woman whose last name was Bridger had a photo of a group of women who supposedly rolled bandages for WW I. The picture was shown at a Kirkland Historical Society meeting, and she said the photo was found in Piercey's attic. It looked to me as though one of the young ladies could have been my grandmother, Mabel Anderson Wenzel. And, I believe it was taken in front of the house in this picture before the front porch was closed in!
